What’s the difference between torque sensors and cadence sensors on ebikes?

Torque sensors measure the amount of pressure applied to the pedals. Bikes that use torque sensors will feel the most natural. Applies to all of our mid-drive bikes:
Cadence sensors measure rotation at the cranks. As long as the sensor senses forward rotation, the bike will assist you regardless of how hard you’re pedaling. Applies all of our hub-drive bikes:
